First, let me say - these are a rare treat. It is a privilege and a pleasure to be able to offer you wines of this calibre. You may not of heard of owner and winemaker Fabien Duperray, as he is just one of many people who labour tirelessly behind the scenes, although he is well known within the wine industry. Well, it’s time for an introduction. Last year I was given a bottle of his Pouilly-Vinzelles 2015 by a mutual acquaintance, and it was fabulous. Only the wines of Guffens-Heynen come close. Monsieur Duperray makes Macon whites of the very highest quality and has re-introduced a style and quality level into Beaujolais not seen for many years. Each wine reflects his unswerving focus and fastidious nature with regard to every aspect of viticulture and winemaking. He’s my kind of vigneron.
